Primitive Methodist Chapel, Hullavington

A Primitive Methodist chapel was certified in 1843 in Watts Lane on the site of what had once been a Friends Meeting House (between 1697-1812) and possibly the school (from 1818). The chapel, of stone rubble with red brick, utilised some of the materials from the existing building and was later improved in 1858. On Census Sunday in 1851 they registered an average of 60 members. To the west of the chapel a burial ground was established, there is currently one headstone dating from 1905. This chapel closed in the 1980s.
