A chapel at Crofton at the Crofton Braboef manor was first mentioned in 1317. The lord of the manor was the patron and the Chaplain was only allowed to say mass in his presence. The chaplain paid 13 shillings and 4 pence a year to the prebendary and 7 pence to lord of the manor. In return the chaplain was entitled to the tithes of the demesne of the manor. The church fell into disrepair during the early 15th century however and was last referred to in 1414.
