Eastcott Chapel, Urchfont

Eastcott had its own free chapel from the early 14th century, probably established by a lord of the manor. It was served by clerks and supported by a small estate granted to it. It was confiscated by the Crown in 1548 and the building fell into disuse. The field known as Chapel Field in the 19th century is thought to be the site of the long gone chapel.
