George Haskell's premises in Ludwell were certified in 1845 for use by Primitive Methodists. Also listed was Henry Sharman of Motcombe, Dorset.
The Primitive Methodists built a chapel by 1861 on the south side of the Salisbury to Shaftesbury road at Ludwell. It was part of the Motcombe Primitive Methodist Circuit but closed c.1965.
