Baptist Chapel, Tinhead, Edington

In 1676 there were six protestant non-conformists and one papist at Edington. In 1791 the house of James Oram in Tinhead was used as a place of worship for the Baptists, this was certified by the Bishop of Salisbury. In 1794, a building at Tinhead, formerly a malthouse, was registered as a place of worship, and this was probably where the Baptists descended from, as they met there in 1851. It was closed in 1897 when the lease expired.
