All Saints'; Chapel, Rockley, Ogbourne St. Andrew

At the census in 1851 20 people attended a house serving as a chapel of ease in Rockley. In 1872, however, a new chapel was built on land given by the Tanner family of Rockley Manor and was dedicated to 'All Saints'; designed by J. Baverstock of Marlborough the chapel is of flint and stone chequerwork construction. The chapel comprises a chancel, nave and south-west porch. It has one bell. The chapel closed in 1961 when it was in a state of some disrepair and the population of Rockley had fallen to less than fifty; it has been in private ownership since 1973. A photograph of the stained glass windows which hung in the chapel and which were removed to the Stained Glass Collection at Ely Museum can be found in Ogbourne St. Andrew church.  A number of memorial tablets to members of the Tanner family can be found in the small churchyard; these were once inside the chapel.
