A cottage at Chisbury was certified in 1828 for meetings of Wesleyan Methodists. In 1851 meetings were held on Sunday evenings. The cottage is not believed to have been used for meetings after 1864. It was owned by Thomas Hopgood and was served by the Wesleyan minister Henry Vyvyan Olver of Hungerford.
