Early Non-Conformists, Tollard Royal

At a date before 1640 a George Penny of Tollard Royal or Farnham was convicted of recusancy. In 1668 Thomas Lush of Tollard Royal was also accused of recusancy and convicted of this in 1673 and 1676, despite the fact that the religious census of 1676 recorded no papists or protestant nonconformists in the parish.
