Methodism

A Methodist chapel was built around 1820 and was the only chapel ever built in the village. On Census Sunday in 1851 Wesleyan Methodists held services attended by 48 people in the morning and 92 in the afternoon. There were no services after 1946 and the building was demolished in 1970.
