Quakers, Purton Stoke, Purton

On 15th January 1690 a certificate was issued for meetings at the house of Margaret Shennione. It is possible that the Purton Stoke Quakers moved to the new meeting house in Purton in 1705. However, a 1744 map of Purton Stoke indicates that a meeting house was in existence there at that date.
