During the early years of the 19th century services were held in a cottage but by around 1832 a chapel had been built near Brunkard's Lane. In 1850 the average congregations were said to be 200 for afternoon service and 100 in the evening. In the late 19th century the chapel was replaced by one near the Town Mill but numbers declined in the early 20th century and the chapel closed and was sold in 1920. It is likely that many of the remaining congregation joined the General Baptists.
