Before 1397 there was a controvesy between the rector of Bradley, at Edington, and Adam de Grenvylle over the latter's chantry chapel at Southwick Court. It would seem therefore to date from the mid to late 14th century. After the dispute Adam presented the chaplains and the chantry was worth £6.7.0d (£6.35p). Little is known of the chapel save that it had a bell. The chantry was dissolvled in 1539.
