At the instigation of Ann Atwood, of Turleigh Manor, this chapel was built above the manor coach house. It was licensed as a dissenters' meeting house on 22nd April 1819. By 1827 it was described as a Baptist chapel and had a Sunday School. In that year John Wait, coachman to Ann Atwood, left £10 to the Sunday School and a hand organ to the chapel. The chapel was crowded for services during Mrs Atwood's lifetime (she lived into her early 90s), but interest declined after her death. By 1869 it had been taken into the care of the Zion Baptist chapel in Bradford, while in 1873 there were only seven members remaining, although there were 30 Sunday School pupils. The chapel closed in 1885.
