This church began in a barrack hut on the site of the present parade ground. In 1922 the Church Hut was established by the Station Commandent, Col. S.W.H. Rawlings. At first there were evening services held by clergymen from nearby parishes, but in 1924 an army chaplain was appointed. In 1925 a grant was given to enlarge the Hut and move it to a site between the main office buiding and the barracks and this was done in 1925/6. It was further enlarged in 1927 to a size of 60 feet by 15 feet, a harmonium was bought and oak panelling added with pews and central heating, the latter two in 1930. During the Second World War the church was served by chaplains from Tidworth and Bulford. Usage ceased in the mid 1950s and the church was demolished in 1957.
