Particular Baptist Chapel, Netheravon

In 1816 a certificate was given for Baptist worship in a house formerly occupied by Robert Poole. The meeting was successful and were able to build a Particular Baptist chapel in 1820 continuity being ensured by a long serving pastor, Stephen Offer, from 1824 to 1854. On Census Sunday in 1851 the attendance at services was 80 in the morning, 113 in the afternoon, and 33 in the evening. By that time the building was being referred to as the 'Old Chapel'. After the death of Offer, Robert Mower took services in the chapel in conjunction with his own pastorship at Ludgershall. In 1946 the chapel burned down and only the vestry was rebuilt and sevices held there. A line of bricks marked the foundation of the chapel in the graveyard. By 1974 only the graveyard of the chapel remained.
