The church of St. Mary was provided by Mary Barton, who left £10,000 in her will to build a chapel of ease in memory of her husband and son. Building began in 1899 and the church opened four years later. It is a small brick building comprising of a nave, chancel and polygonal bell turret with spire at the east end, all in the Perpendicular style. Worshippers still attend regularly. Corsley no longer has its own resident priest. The parish is part of the Heytesbury deanery, in the Diocese of Salisbury, and is now part of the Cley Hill Team.
