John Wesley came to Corsley to preach in 1772, and a building was registered for worship the following year. It is probable that the Wesleyan community was concentrated mainly round Lane End, where the present chapel stands, and that the influence extended from Frome. In 1829 there were 150 worshippers. The present building dates from 1849 and was re-fitted in the late 19th century when a schoolroom was added to the rear. It is stone with a slate roof. In 1851 three services were held each Sunday and the Sunday School had 30 pupils. Villagers continued to worship here until the 1960s. The chapel closed in 1966 and was converted into a house in the late 1980s.
