I enjoyed reading this informative piece by my 'fave' History Centre where I spent many, many happy hours when I used to visit each year and assisted by Steve Hobbs. I am always interested in anything 'Wiltshire' having ancestors going back many centuries. On reviewing the Knapp family ( very distantly related) I found that they came from Great Somerford so loved reading the historical background of the area which puts 'icing on the cake' of stiff BDM information.
