Very interesting. I am from Yate, and I hope to visit the church yard tomorrow. We are related to Giles Reed who followed the GWR from Minety in around 1820. Maybe the inscriptions on the graves are too worn to read but maybe I can find some of his ancestral relations. The family seems to have arrived there around 1600 from Wootton Bassett. |
