I was a pupil at the school between 1966 and 1968, we helped move all the books etc to the neww school in Noremarsh. As I remember, the room shown in the photo was "Class 8", who were taught by Mr Powell. Some of the pupils in the class were a bit wild, so if it was a wet lunch, older pupils from the school would over-see and make a list of the usual suspects activity.
This task often fell to myself and Ellis Page. On his return from lunch, Mr Powell would check the list and then administer "the dap". This event often entailed an amoount of chasing around, both in and out of the room and sometimes a local mother (Mrs Wickes?) would return a young escapee and then stand with arms folded until "the dap" had been suitably employed.
If any pupil in the school was sent to Mr Hunt's office, it was the cane! and he didn't mind using it.
Happy days.

I went to this school from 1955 to 1961 when I went to the Secondary Modern School, Although Gerald Hunt had the same surname as me he was no relation and did not spare the cane a couple of times on me.
The meals would come in Hot Locks from the central Kitchen off Station Road and "Granny Checker" would come in and supervise. She would not let you have pudding unless you ate your main.I told her once my Mother had paid for my dinner and I was entitled to pudding!another canning!!. I have lived in Norfolk for over 40 year but still have family that I like to visit.Happy Days.
