A good photograph and an interesting history.

Greetings from Evansville, Wisconsin, USA I am writing from my home in south central Wisconsin near the capital city of Madison,. Winter is a good time to work on genealogy. My working on family genealogy led me to do a goggle search of your town's name. The names of Thomas Coleman (1602- 1682 ) and his wife Susannah RAULINES or RAWLINGS have appeared in many family histories. These "many times" great grandparents are Thomas Coleman who may have been born in Wootten River or near to it according to online genealogies . Thomas may have married his first wife in your little church . The young couple lived near Marlborough for about ten years before boarding a sailing ship named the James which sailed out of Southampton for Massachusetts British Colony in America before 5 April 1635. I look through many sites and I am writing to tell you that your site is set up so nicely. It is one of the best! I hope to someday visit England and Scotland with my granddaughter who owns this ancestry. I just do the research. Perhaps one day we will visit your quaint village. Sincerely, Jeanne Loesch
