One of my ancestors attended this school. Laura Mabel Gray b 1878. In the family she went by her middle name, Mabel. I have 2 items of hers. A small Bible awarded to her in 1892 for good attendance and good behaviour and a patchwork quilt that we cherish. The Bible frontispiece is signed by GRH which most likely is the vicar. I can only thank whoever has put this history of the school together. It brings alive how it would have been for her. |
