- Jimmy (full name Edward Charles James Gardener) was brought up in Marlborough and had an acting career in both film and television for forty years. He has starred in many RSC roles and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Previous to this he served in the Second World War as an air gunner and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Medal. He died in 2010.
