Notes

The school was built as Bemerton Heath County Infants' School in 1952 to meet the needs of a rapidly growing new housing estate. In 1973 it became a first school in the new three tier system in the re-organization of the Wilton and West Salisbury education area and by 1976 was known as Woodlands First School. A nursery unit was then created and in 2002 there were 168 children, aged from 4 to 9 years, on the school roll.Children normally transfer to the Avon Middle School in Devizes Road. Within the school grounds are the Treetops Playgroup, which takes children from two years, and Oak Tree Nursery which serves pre-school children who will later attend Woodlands First School.
