Notes

This was built in 1879 to replace the Endless Street chapel at a total cost of £11,000. Built in stone, it is in the Early Decorated style with a tall spire and 650 sittings. It was opened on 11th June 1879 and in 1882 a lecture hall and classrooms were built behind the church. In 1937 there was an extesive renovation of the building which re-opened on 2nd January 1938. At a church meeting in October 1971 there was general agreement to join with the Presbyterians and on 8th October 1972 a service was held to celebrate the formation of the United Reformed Church in Salisbury. In 1975-6 much maintenance work was carried out, including structual repairs to spire and building and the re-wiring of the church and hall. This was followed in 1978 by a major reconstruction of the church which included replacing the wooden floor with one of concrete, a lift in the tower, gas central heating and a kitchen.
