Beanacre Baptist Chapel, Melksham Without

A congregation of Baptists built a chapel at Upper Green in 1846. In the 1920s there was one evening service a week and a Sunday School, and during the 20th century the chapel was regarded as a mission station of Melksham and was run jointly with trustees from Broughton Road Baptist Church. In the early 1960s the congregation dwindled until there were only three remaining. It was decided to close the chapel on 1st January 1967 and the building was sold. It has now been converted into a house and extended.
