Avebury Church of England Primary School

The National School, pictured here, was built in 1844, rebuilt in 1849 and enlarged in 1873. It was replaced in 1970 when the present building was erected behind the original in the High Street. The original school building is now the parish hall for the three local parishes and the schoolmaster's house is a private house. In 2002 there were 47 children aged between 4 and 11 years
