Parochial Church of England Junior School, Trowbridge

Opened as a National school in 1848 in Back (now Church) Street. In 1858 it was arranged separately for boys and girls - the separate entrances are still so labelled. In 1923 it was brought together with the Trinity National School with the boys and infants at Trinity and the girls at the Back Street school. In 1931 it became a junior mixed school, remaining in Back Street until 1967 when a purpose built school, pictured here, was erected on the present site.
