There was a chapel at Norridge in the late 13th century. Although it must have been near Norridge Farm, its exact site is unknown. It was completely gone by 1783, and probably long before then. The only remaining evidence of its existence is a stone panel, pictured here, with a carving of the crucifixion, which was built into the wall of a cottage but is now in the Church of St. Mary at Upton Scudamore; it is thought to be 13th or 14th century.
