Notes

The chapel is dated 1836 and is situated near the main road on Avon Weir Lane at the approach to the village. It is constructed from rubble stone with a squared rubble front. The chapel’s most noticeable and elegant features are the two stone tracery windows that cover a large proportion of wall at the front of the church. The windowless red-brick north wall was an addition in 1909 and was built as a schoolroom. The chapel is Grade 2 listed and was closed in 1998, afterwards being converted into a house.
