Notes

There was a school in Braydon, built in 1858 where ten children where taught in a new school. This became a National School in 1876. The school was well attended at the end of the 19th century and had to be extended in 1882 to accommodate the children. There was space for 60; in 1895 there were 51 children at the school and in 1906 there were 35 children on the roll. However, the attendance declined in the 20th century and the school was closed in 1933.
