Notes

During the 19th century, a cottage in Clevancy was used by the Independents for their religious worship. By 1881, the cottage had been replaced by a small corrugated building, later known as the Mission Hall and used by the Baptists through much of the 20th century. In Clevancy, Particular Baptists were active from the late 18th century. In 1861, weekly services were held in privately owned houses.
