Notes

In 1864, a group of Primitive Methodists who were influential in Teffont Magna, held meetings in the summer on Sundays outside Dinton Church, thereby interrupting the service.
A Primitive Methodist Chapel was constructed in 1895 and flourished for some decades but was closed and sold in 1988. The chapel had brick elevations under a slate roof. To the front is a stone mullioned window with stone arches over the side windows, together with a porch way of similar construction with an outside light. To each side of the porch way is a wooden door and a central stained glass window. In 2011 new houses were being built around the site of the disused chapel.
