The United Reformed Church, Avebury

The congregation originated in 1669 and the church was registered in 1707, probably the date of its building. Originally a small square structure it was extended in the 18th cenury, and again in 1830 when a schoolroom was added. Built of sarsen stone, with brick dressings and a brick rear extention its stands approximately at the centre of the stone circle.
