Notes

A Wesleyan Methodist chapel of flint and red brick was built in 1879. It continued to prosper well into the twentieth century. Membership numbers gradually reduced until in 1977 there were just seven members. Concern was first expressed about the future of the chapel at the AGM in December 1981. A structural report on the building noted that major repairs would be needed. At a further meeting in March 1982 the decision was taken to close the chapel. Heavy snow had caused extensive damage to the building. It was sold and is now a private house.
