Formed in 1975 by the amalgamation of Marlborough Grammar School, which became the Stedman Building (pictured here), and Marlborough Secondary Modern School, which became the Savernake Building. In 1981 there were 1,317 pupils with 73 full time and 9 part time teachers. The school, with 1,402 pupils in 2002, is still on 2 sites but a new single site school is planned to be open in 2005.
