This independent special school was founded in 1988 to teach children with special learning difficulties, or dyslexia. For over 25 years Appleford School has been providing the highest quality teaching for pupils with dyslexia and associated special educational needs such as dyspraxia and dyscalculia. A highly successful day, weekly and full boarding specialist dyslexia school for pupils from 7 to 18. There is a whole school approach to dyslexia using research-based multi-sensory programmes and resources.
