Notes

A Primitive Methodist small brick chapel was built, with 108 seats, south of the road to Berwick St. John in 1894. It was closed in 1951 and is now unused.

There were two Primitive Methodist meeting houses registered in 1844 under the holding and occupation of James Adlam and Thomas Jenkins.

Two earlier dissenters’ meeting houses were registered in 1800 and 1820.
