I am trying to find out if the old Holt railway station going back to the late 1800s/early 1900s still exists.
Has the name changed. What is the nearest town to this station?

Holt Station closed on 18th April 1966 and the track for the Devizes branch, for which Holt was a junction was taken up. The railway line between Trowbridge and Chippenham still runs to the south of Holt, between the village and the river Avon. The nearest town to Holt is Trowbridge to the south, then Bradford to the west, then Melksham to the north-east.
I believe that the station buildings were demolished after the closure of the station.
