Ladies' Day School, Lydiard Millicent

Mentioned in Kelly's Directory for 1867, the school was kept by Mrs Susan King. By 1875 Mrs King had moved her school to the town of Wootton Bassett where it was housed in a building in the High Street. It likely that she was the widow of Henry King who was the postmaster and grocer at Lydiard Millicent in 1859.
