Dissenters' School, Boyton

In 1859 a report was published giving an account of all the day schools attended by labourers' children. When the Inspector visited Boyton there were three schools. One of these was a flourishing Dissenters' school which taught 50-80 children from Boyton and the surrounding parishes. When the new church school opened in 1859 it is probable that the Anglican children from the Dissenters' school would have gone to the new church school, leaving very few pupils at the Dissenters' school. It is difficult to say how much longer this school lasted.
