In 1819 children from Worton went to a school in Potterne to be taught, along with children from Potterne and Marston. All expenses were paid by parents.
A Sunday school-room was erected in 1844. It is thought that this room was owned by a Sarah Boulter, who came into the cottage it stood within in 1844. By 1859 there were 50 children taught there.
