Bremilham School

In 1858 a school was being held in a cottage at Cowage Grove at Bremilham. At that time 16 children, both boys and girls, from Foxley and Bremilham attended. The teacher was a dame from Norton and the school was entirely supported by the curate. The school may have closed in the 1880s, when a school was held at Foxley, or it may have continued until 1894 when the new school was built at Foxley.
