A school existed at Odstock in 1771 and in 1818 the rector maintained a school of 14 children. In 1858, HM Inspector William Warburton reported that at Odstock 15 boys and girls were taught by a dame “and sit on two forms in the kitchen of a cottage by the roadside”.
