Two Sunday schools were established in Ogbourne St. Andrew and Ogbourne St. George by a Mr. Gosling, a banker of Marlborough. In 1818 the school at Ogbourne St. Andrew was attended by 70 pupils. Two private day schools were also in existence in the parish at this time, with a total of 50 pupils. However, in 1833 the Digest of Parochial Returns Made to the Select Committee Appointed to Inquire into the Education of The Poor, 1818, indicated that most children were attending schools in Marlborough.
In 1846 a Sunday and Day school are reported to have been in existence.
