Westmead Junior School, Chippenham

A British School founded in Ladd's Lane, it moved to a new building in Wood Lane in 1856. Acquired by Wiltshire County Council in 1906. From 1940 older pupils (11 and upwards) went to the Secondary Modern School. The school was set on fire in 1972 and log books and administrative records were destroyed. Replaced by King's Lodge School in 1989.
