This opened in 1896, in the Parish Rooms, Silver Street, with 5 pupils and 2 teachers. New premises for 75 pupils were built at Tetbury Hill in 1902, but by the 1902 Education Act the County Council became responsible for secondary education and the school became the Malmesbury & District County Secondary School.
