The Convent of Christian Education is first mentioned in the 1915 directory at Leehurst in Campbell Road. Later the name Leehurst Boarding and Day School for Girls was used, with the address being The Convent, Campbell Road. In 1952 the school was taken over by Sisters of La Retraite and the school became La Retraite Convent School, under which entry further information will be found.
