By 1889 William Henry Bentley was running a school at Cleveland House in Manor Road. By 1899 he had moved to Elm Grove and taken the name Cleveland House with him. By 1903 he had moved again to Kelsey Road and again transferred the name Cleveland House. In the 1907 the school is being run by Principals, Henry Sidney Disbrowe and G.H. Nott at Cleveland House, which was then called the Modern School, under which entry further information will be found.
