Purton Stoke County School, Purton

The school was built in 1898 and 22 boys and 25 girls from the Purton National School were transferred here. There was accommodation for 75 boys and girls and 25 infants with a headmistress and an infants' mistress. In 1955 there were 34 children at the school and in 1978 the school closed and 30 children were transferred to St. Mary's School at Purton.
